I remember one trip; I was flying out of the Charlotte airport and I overheard two women laughing and comparing notes on the different health programs they were in and how much better their lives were. They were telling people sitting near them about this new approach to health and how it had changed their lives. I remember smiling and thinking, “this is worth it.”
All of the hard work, the long hours, the ups and downs are all worth hearing people discuss how their lives are better because of something that you get to be a part of. That’s purpose, that’s life changing, and that’s why we continue to support, grow and challenge you to be bigger. That’s why we challenge you to reach more people and tell your friends; because we have a vision. A vision of people getting to live the lives they thought were impossible.
We find ourselves in a time like no other; a time where we have the chance to create a wave so big that it will forever change how people approach life. Think about it. Did you ever think you could change how people think about LIFE?
I envision a world where everyone is knowledgeable about the simple things: sleep, food, the quality of light. A world where people are discussing the program they’re in and how it changed their life for the better.
John F. Kennedy stated it so beautifully when he said, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” I was recently reminded of this quote as I was speaking with Kayla Cook on the importance of being vocal about what we do and why we do it. We discussed how positive change only happens when people do things differently. We MUST get into the habit of vocalizing our vision and our purpose constantly, so that it can take root at the foundational level and start to spread. Kayla is one of our top Mission Partners, and she’s only been in our program for about a year. My favorite memory of Kayla is running into her at a Denver event the day after she joined FPC. She was already telling everyone about us! It is that level of trust that creates an amazing circle of energy. Her patients now trust her implicitly and I know it’s because of the type of energy she is emitting.
I am reminded of the well-known adage “you get what you give.” So, my questions to you are: What are you giving? What are you putting out into this beautiful world?
Kayla put her faith in us and Lauren Hacker, Kayla’s friend and colleague, is a perfect example of that faith. Lauren came to Kayla for advice when her world was turned upside down. She needed help and she needed it now. Kayla, out of her trust in us and our mission, made the referral and Lauren, out of trust for Kayla, gained trust in us too. As Kayla and I reminisced about her Discovery Call, I explained to her: people that tend to allow the unknown to control them aren’t always a good fit for our program. She laughed. She said she could relate because she had so many reasons not to join; predominantly fear. But what was her alternative? Neither the reasons nor the fear was going to subside so why not have a mentor that would help her push through?
If Kayla hadn’t shared her story and her encouragement, Lauren wouldn’t have the practice she does today. She wouldn’t be changing the lives she is changing. “I get to relax and connect with people,” Lauren said. “This wouldn’t be possible without FPC! It set me up for the practice that I always wanted NOW. The practice that I thought would be years away.”
People need to hear your story. People need to hear our story. Don’t be afraid of telling it -you may just save someone’s life!
Are you ready for your own success story?
If you are, I have good news! We can get you results like this. It won’t be easy, nor will it happen overnight, but I’ve seen it happen so many times that I can tell you that’s it’s possible.
You’ve got to be hungry, driven, up for the work, listen more than you talk, complete more than complain, implement plans more than you announce them, and show up daily with a beginners mind. If you’re ready, it’s time to get to work!
